Unfortunately, the disc would not play toward the end, and I had to ask to return it for a refund. I absentmindedly left the DVD in the VCR player and returned the empty disc case. When I realized what I had done, I contacted the seller and asked for the address, ready to pay to send back the disc, since I had already used the shipping label to send back the case. The seller issued the refund and told me I didn't have to return the disc. This seller is a class act!

NOT: HD - low dvd visual quality
I knowingly ordered this out of production DVD which was mastered and produced pre-HD. I received a new-old stock DVD. This is an olde fashioned low definition DVD. However the movie is there and the soundtrack is good. This is a very good movie, that is no longer available. As such my purchase price - $15.99 was a great bargain. But this really demonstrates exactly how wonderful HD-DVD really is! Am I disappointed by this DVD? No, the excellent movie is there, the story is effectively told. Looking for Mr. Goodbar serves as a cautionary tale about where you go to find a soul mate.
It may capture an historical time period, but it takes a load of profanity, sex and violence to convince us that the times were changing. Keaton, Weld and Gere, even Kiley went deeply into their roles, but I'm happy they all found better material later on.

This is a classic thriller movie but be prepared for very violent scenes. Great acting with stars early in their careers. The print is pretty good considering this is a dvd made off a vhs videotape. The sound quality is good. This was excellent value compared to what other sites were charging.
