    Not even close to a Letdown 3

    Beautifully crafted CD. The band now has six albums out and is working on their seventh. You can see where they come from with this album. Wonderful craftsmanship of lyrics, love, and musical rock! I buy this CD for my friends all the time. A wonderful gift with songs that are catchy and positive, nothing that brings you down and makes you depressed. Its songs that open your heart and mind to things of greater value!

    Excellent CD

    This is a great CD. You can crank it up and enjoy it without worrying that there are going to be obscene words screamed at you. I am a mom with 6 young kids, and we all like rock and roll but I don't want my kids learning bad words. This is Christian rock that has an edge. Also a couple of slower songs but my son says they are not "girly"! He is 11. We like "Ammunition" and "When I look at the Stars" probably the best. I also really like "This is your Life".

    Switchfoot - The Beautiful Letdown (2004)

    I actually bought this album because my local Christian station plays a couple of songs from The Beautiful Letdown. Once I got it though I soon learned it isn't Christian music necessarily, but that's okay because it's still a great album and the music could go both ways I guess. Maybe they made it that way. The only negative thing I would have to say is the second song on the album sings about living for the now and that's all you've got, but on the Christian perspective we certainly don't sacrifice the now for eternity.
