Two Sets of Failure: Stay away from MaXpeedingRod's Turbochargers
BUYER BEWARE!!! 2009 BMW 335i turbo replacements. Installed the first set Summer 2023 and targeted stock boost. The turbos failed after ~3000 miles. Got them replaced under warranty after paying $50 for shipping. Installed warranty set December 2023. The turbos failed after ~1000 miles. Replaced warranty set with BMW OEM set I had laying around January 2024. I put ALMOST 2000 miles on them and I've had NO ISSUES. To reaffirm, these turbos are BAD as evidenced by how perfectly my car ran once I replaced them with an OEM set, and the embarrassing picture attached. I use this car for transportation to and from college. I rack up miles quickly, but they are low-stress highway miles. Both sets of turbos failed in a low-stress environment extremely prematurely.
