About this product

Product Information

21st century New York City is (still) an overpopulated mess, and the only food left is Soylent Green, a soybean and lentil concoction with an extra-special, government-mandated ingredient. As police detective Thorn (Charlton Heston) investigates a murder, he learns of a conspiracy with bizarre implications. This Edward G. Robinson's final movie, as the star died not long after filming his final scene. Based on Harry Harrison's "Make Room! Make Room!"

The rosary is gorgeous and in a very well preserved vintage condition. This seller is fenomenal, easy to communicating and extraordinarily fair in negotiating with. Knows how to treat customers. Shipping and delivery of a well protected package were amazingly fast at a fair cost. In my earnest opinion this seller is beyond excellent and trustworthy. I'll continue to doing business with, God willing and highly recommend.

Great seller. Fast shipping, excellent packaging, item exactly as described. This QSL card was sent by the ham radio operator who lived next door to me when I was growing up. Postmarked in 1939 and in near-perfect condition. I’m happy.

  • Food for thought

This is a scifi classic that in some cases has become very timely. The movie relates to shortages of food in the year 2022. The movie is from 1973. The premis deals with manufactured food, like we are seeing today and beyond. The movie ,if you can find it is generally a bit costly depending on format. This purchase for me was a great find. My home theater has display settings and components for any form of physical media, which remains my preference. my system upscales legacy media formats and only requires a little tweeking. I recommend this movie, and this sell. Purchased at a very reasonable price point, and delivered in exellent codition on time.

  • A unique tale about a dark future

Charlton Heston is riveting as "Detective Thorn" in this disturbing story about an over populated world spiraling into chaos. Edward G. Robinson co-stars in his last screen appearance and gives the performance of a lifetime as an aging "book", an educated man in a world where education is fast becoming a distant memory. Set in a New York city that has ballooned to a population of 40 million Thorn is assigned to investigate the murder of a wealthy industrialist, and finds that murder is almost benign compared to the nightmare that motivated the killing. This movie is a must for Charlton Heston fans, and a thrilling shocker that you might not want to watch right before bedtime.

  • Soylent Green

This movie was WAY ahead of it's time when it was made! It would be a wonderful movie to remake for this day & age! Set in a polluted, congested New York City in the year 2022, this sci-fi thriller stars The Late Great, Charlton Heston. The last movie that Edward G. Robinson starred in, also. If you like a good vintage flick, I highly recommend this movie!
