This is an outstanding seller to deal with. Fair prices that are more than reasonable in this economy. The product is in better condition than described, a true value for my money. Packaged and shipped well shows seller has concern for the products he sells to arrive in excellent condition. The seller is friendly and communicates timely with his customers. I highly recommend this seller and would do business again anytime. Thank you.

I was introduced to this book by my graduate advisor, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The wide array of concepts are laid out in a concise manner with easily accessible citations. If you are interested in pursuing a career in JDM or would like to learn more about how we make the decisions we do, I would strongly recommend this book. I only wish there was a more current version in print.

  • An Enjoyable Psychology Text Read

Brings together alot of studies I have read about elsewhere. Easy read but requires thinking about what has been read to gain understanding in other situations. Like the idea of "Test" before the book is read in order to prevent hindsight bias, ie "Oh, I knew that" thinking. Will recommend to others.

  • an abstracting book

I gradually understood why the book was the winner of the William James Book Award. It's not theory oriented but entertaining. Specially written for those who do not have psychology background. For those who have interest on behaviral finance or accounting, it deserves your attention.

  • an excellent summary for the uninitiated

What happens to people who are not completely rational (in the economic sense)? Can we really expect people to maximize their utility in all decisions? What are the most common mistakes people make when they face a decision? Plous is one of the leading experts in decision making and he has managed to come down to the level of us lay people to explain the way psychology tricks us in making decisions. Read this book if you want to be aware of the biases and mental shortcuts that lead people to make the wrong evaluations and take sub-optimal decisions. Although the book does not provide a cure for these biases, just being aware of them should help you to become a better decision maker.
