    My hard drive of choice for several years, but Seagate DiscWizard and/or Windows10 is creating formatting/disk copy problems

    I've bought 30-40 of these hard drives for computer builds because they were reliable, but also because Seagate DiscWizard transfer software (free for use if one drive is a Seagate) was easy to use and dependable to copy my standard hard drive load to an empty drive. In the last year it appears that either updates to Seagate DiscWizard or Windows 10 was making it impossible to copy my standard computer build load onto these or any other drives. I've tried a couple of other than Seagate drive brands and had issues with them too, so the problem may be Windows and not Seagate DiscWizard or Seagate drives. I've also tried other transfer software and had similar issues. Too bad, because I love building desktops but these issues have caused me to stop. Whatever happened to "user-friendly" ...

    Everthing promised and no disappointments! Highly recommended!

    First class! Everything it was stated to be. The 1TB hard drive was faster, had a larger cache but was otherwise physically identical to my older smaller 750 gig Seagate drive which was reporting imminent failure. Once installed the Windows 7 Experience Index rated this 1TB drive at 5.9 while my older 750 gig Seagate Barracuda was only rated a 5.4. The available download of the Seagate software to clone the existing smaller hard drive (in my case, the software can use any size hard drives) was simple to obtain off the internet Seagate Site, easy to use and functioned faster than my older software (EZ Clone) which was not compatible with the newer Seagate Hard drive.     Ok, these drives were a great value for the $$$

    I'm building a dedicated DAW and needed some storage drives for it. I consider Seagate to be the most reliable for this. So these were a great solution for my needs. There's no bad sectors and they are very quiet for an HDD. And they show as an apple drive so that's actually not a bad thing since I plan on doing a triple boot Hackintosh/Linux/Windows. For my purposes these will provide plenty of storage.

    The right part # for an HP Pavillion Model 550-153w Desktop (Full Factory Reset), if your original drive has failed...As long as you have the Windows Pre-Activated Win 10 Rescue Disk Set (a 4 disk rescue set can be made from a working bootable HP Pav. Model 550-153w), or access to a bootable Recovery Image (usually set as (Recovery Image (D:) on the original drive (usually a drive partition that is approx. 15.1 GB), or you can copy the sector with the Recover Image on it as that is a discontinued HP Original Restore Disk Set.
