    Meet the Other Victorians -- the heroes and scoundrels who built the Empire

    As an historian and reader of authentic historical fiction, Colonel Flashman leads the charge. Fraser's history is impeccable, his ear for dialogue and the speech of those times flawless, and hey -- the combination is gosh darn fun. Perfect reading for your gloomy winters in a Yak breeder's hut in the Hindu Kush or a grueling trek with mules, elephants, and the Bengal Lancers through Abyssinia.
