Equal parts Dario Argento and Henry James, Lucky McKee's brooding psychological horror film stars Agnes Bruckner as Heather, a young woman with a tendency to set things on fire.     A Little Gem Of A Thriller

    This movie is vastly underrated. Set in a girls' school deep in the woods, the principal and teachers are hiding a dark secret. Certain students are chosen via a strange test to aid them in their bizarre ritual. Agnes Bruckner gives an excellent performance as the troubled teenager shuffled off to this private school by her less than loving mother and a father (Bruce Campbell) who is too wimpy to object. Patricia Clarkson is superb as the principal and brings just the right degree of eeriness to her part. A warning in that their are some incidents and an ending that might upset some sensitive viewers. But for horror fans that enjoy a well-written script over fancy CGI effects, this will do nicely.
