    great step, no need for a step ladder

    Make it easy on yourself, TAKE the rear exhaust tip/piping off first. Make sure your mark the pipe initially for alignment when you reinstall it after the step is mounted. REAL easy to remove the tip. MAKES IT VERY EASY TO INSTALL THE STEP, NO FIGHTING THE PIPE! Use blue locktight on threads of truck bolts to ensure them from coming loose.

    Worked great for less than 10 months and 20 uses...

    The step seemed to be sturdy to step on, easy to deploy and stow but it lasted less than a year, hopefully mine was just a quality slip up and the rest are built better than mine. The yoke that engages a pin that sits on the spring broke, I heard it break and I saw the little piece that broke off fall on the ground, after it broke, I could not stow the step because the spring was jammed on the cam, (lucky it broke at home) I ended up taking it apart to get it off of my truck so I wouldn't have to drive around with it deployed. The yoke seems to be some kind of molded metal and I think it's just not strong enough to be on such a strong spring, a machined piece would have lasted forever. I kind of just placed it back together to take the pictures after I took it apart. After removing the ...

    The BEST upgrade for my Ram 1500.

Heavy steel construction, a more than ample step pad WITH a raised grip pattern for better foot/shoe traction, and with the internal spring, this product rapidly deploys and retracts beneath the truck's frame completely hidden from view.
