The cover was coming off, there was a page ripped out of it, there was sticky residue on the cover, stains..... It was supposed to be a gift.     Gift for my daughter

    I bought this for my 9 year old in hopes that she will enjoy the books as much as me. 😊 The book showed a lot of wear and tear on the outside, but the pages looked fine and doesn't seem to be missing any.

    Great non-fiction, and kids love it

    I've read a good portion of this book, and I can honestly say that it is a good, honest read about life without the notorious sappiness usually present with this series of books. Don't get me wrong--sentiment is strong here, but the stories have more of a realistic tone. Some parents worry about the subject matter of the books and would prefer their children not read them, but most of the issues in this book would be appropriate for a fifth, sixth, or seventh grade audience. Check out the book first if you're not sure, otherwise, I think it's a great read for kids this age. The stories are short in length, intensely interesting, and addicting. It's everything you could want in a hook to make kids read more.

    How about a list of "Chicken Soups for my Soul?" I might get that together for you at a later date. I think people don't know what to read sometime, so they pick up the latest from Jack Canfield. What? another serving of chicken soup for my soul? As far as I know there are 230 books written Chicken Soup for ... ... ... This book Chicken Soup for the Kids Soul I found to be one of his best, most stories I can relate to, having 10 nieces and a son. Most of his books teach me something about what it means to be a friend, mother, sister, daughter, pet owner, gardener, cook, student, Christian, a woman and most of all just being me, myself. His books might teach you something too. Most of the books I have read thus far the focus is specifically women writers. I recommend this book very highly. ...
