Great and easy way to read the Bible
If your new to the bible or have trouble picking it up try this. Four to five pages a day starting on January 1st and you will have read the entire bible by the end of the year! Like daily devotions you get your scriptures read in no time and get closer to your Lord. 5 star product!

Delightful to Read NLT Chronological Bible
This New Living Translation (NLT) of the Bible in Chronological order of events is a must have. It is absolutely a delight to read, and I find it hard to stop after the suggested reading for one day. The preface describes how the translators came about producing this translation from the original languages into our modern language. The weights, lengths and measurements are translated into modern english equivelents, with the originals notated at the bottom of the page. When there are historically several names for a person or a place, they are also referenced, but the most logical name for it is used in the text. The books are not layed out in the traditional order for the books of the Bible, therefore making it a little more difficult for a traditional search of a specific scripture. ... However, the layout does afford the reader the sequence of events, in an order that makes sense of the whole story that's taken place. The daily reading schedule is NOT burdonsome and the daily "breaks" are in places that make it easy to pick up where you left off, even a day or two later. I have several versions of the Bible and this one is by far the most reader friendly and an actual joy to read as far as understanding scriptural events. I love it and wish I'd had a copy sooner!

The NLT is very readable. The words flow together as if the Bible was written in English. In my experience there are only two other translations as readable (The Berkley Version [hard to find now] used by the Gideons for a while and the Contemporary English Version published by the American Bible Society). While word for word translations are deemed by academics as more accurate, it is my opinion that they often make it difficult to follow the overall scope of the text. In my opinion too much attention is placed on individual words rather than on the idea the words are being used to convey. I realize that a mistranslated word can dramatically change the meaning of the text, this applies to any translation, not just this style. For a day by day reading Bible for the average ... Chronological Bible
This Bible is unique in that the books are placed in the order they were written. I love the KJV but this is a good study Bible written to make the Bible easier to understand. I love that it gives the chapters to read each day so that it can be read through in a year. Everyone should read the Bible through each year! It is our road map to Heaven! Blessings!

I also like that the entire daily passage is from one chapter, not like some other One Year Bibles that have an Old Testament, New Testament and Psalms portion for each day. That always seemed choppy to me and didn't flow together. This Bible makes sense to me because it's given in the order the events happened.
