    The clip is useless for a lot of motherboards. A jspi1 connector is the way to go.

    The clip doesn't fit on any of the motherboards I have. The Bios chip is so close to a SATA port that it's impossible to get the clip in a position to clip onto the chip legs. I had to order a jspi1 connector from China so I could plug into that instead. It will take approx 1 month to get here.

    A very good deal. Easily sets up in linux as well.

    I had a need to write the 25 series eeproms and this thing works perfect. I'm using flashrom software in linux and it works great. I definitely like the extended clip as well ;~) Worth it.
