Flawless functionality
This item does not setup like any other extender i have used. The ones I have setup before require you to plug it into the lan connection and access it that way. The software thst came with this one, programs the extender wirelessly, then test the setup and location after you have put in the required information. The switch from the main feed and the extender feed is generally seamless, sometimes it is required that you just refresh the connection in order for the signal to get fed from the extender. Other than that. You lose about 15-30% max speed, however, the signal gain is about 90-95% increased. I couldn't be happier with this product. It is also very flexible in that if you don't have to plug it directly into the wall, it comes with another plug and you can reconfigure the box to go anywhere else within the plugs limits. Good for extending
Good for extending but it doesn't mean your signal speed will be good. Your wifi signal will be full but your speed will be reduced because your main wifi has to split your speed. Defective Range Extender
As soon as I plugged the device into the AC outlet I heard an annoying whining humming noise and I knew right away that a solid state device like this range finder had a serious problem. I went ahead and connected it anyway and was not surprised when I had no success.
