Product Information
The API 500-6B is distinct from traditional amplifiers in that it is actually a chassis and framework that allows users to customize their musical experience. This works because this API amplifier has six slots where a number of different modules, such as preamplifiers and compressors can be placed. In order to make all of these modules work together properly, this six-slot amplifier has some unique internal features. Among these are the ability of the API 500-6B to provide power to the different modules using an internal 45-Watt phantom power supply. This API amplifier also has an external AC switch that allows users to adjust the voltage, which again makes it easy to customize any musical or auditory experience. Moreover, there is a removable power cord that means setting up and taking down this six-slot amplifier is much easier, perfect for stage shows or quick studio sessions. Many of the modules made by API are designed specifically to work with this API amplifier and provide users with a number of solid choices.
