    "Dangerous" only because society considers the manly arts to be bad

    Every boy should do the things that boys used to do - shoot a BB gun, light off firecrackers, go alone out into the woods, carry a pocketknife. This book is in that tradition. Do dangerous things! -- at least, things that our modern society considers "dangerous."

    Great Gift for Boys!

    My daughter told me about this book and I bought it for an eight year old boy. His mom said he loves it. She has caught him at night reading under the covers by the light of a flashlight. It's a big hit and might be an encouragement for reading. There is also a similar book for girls.

    A must read for your little adventurer

    I purchased this book for my son when he was 10. When he went to college I kept it for myself and read it 5 times. Now as an Uncle I purchased these to give to my sisters kids. When I’m a grandpa I’ll buy them again.
