I have gotten to the screen so that Jaws is at the surface and you try to harpoon him, but I have never been able to kill Jaws . I would like to find the instructions as to how you can finally kill him and win . Even with the the Game enhancer I have not ever killed him .

JAWS was of my favorite NES titles when I was a kid. Looking back, its clearly not the best the NES library has to offer and much of my attraction to it was the relative shortness of the game and the fact that I loved the franchise. Basically, LJN (one of the most infamous makers of bad games) made this game based off the fourth film (the worst of the series) yet the game itself is not terrible. You navigate the waters in search of conch shells (like in Jaws 4) and use them as currency. They are attainable through killing baby sharks, sting rays and jelly fish – shells can also be gained through completing occasional bonus levels. Equipped with the shells, you travel between two ports to up the level of damage you inflict on JAWS. Upon depleting the shark's energy meter (which takes longer than you think) you then switch to a first-person perspective in order to essentially stab the shark with the boat (another dumb idea recycled from the film Jaws the Revenge). The music is ok and the graphics are fair. The game play is fun, but extremely repetitive and you'll tire from it easily. But all in all, its a decent title and easily the best of the LJN titles (though that's not saying much.) It is affordable and easy to find and it definitely worth checking out.Read full review
Jaws for the Nintendo Entertainment System was a favorite game of mine as a child, and remains so to this day. Though the game lacks any true connections to the hit movies from Universal Studios (aside from a large shark), the game itself is surprisingly fun. You take on the roll of a scuba diver, collecting conch shells from your fish hunting adventures, which you then exchange for boat and power upgrades (these help you in your pursuit of Jaws). Periodically, Jaws will chase your boat. A classic game that is easy to understand and fun to play.
Although it doesn't offer a wide variety of gameplay options, Jaws was one of my favorite NES games when I was in my teens. I am having a great time playing this game on my Hyperkin Retron1 HD! Compared to some other NES classics, Jaws can often be found for a very good price. I would recommend it to anyone with an NES!
