    Exactly What Title States

    Although this edition is slightly dated, the book is still very valuable. I have resigned myself to buying one every so often as I often meet new friends over garden talk. I keep passing my copy on to grateful gardeners & find myself replacing it once again. Great for reference. I go back to remind myself of how to best do something I only do once or twice a year. Or where I want to plant something in a new garden, etc.

    The Vegetable Gardener's Bible by Edward C. Smith, John

    Originally, I checked this book out of the library. I loved it, and had to own it! I'm not a novice gardener, but there were so many handy tips all in one place... I just had to have this book. The information and stepped photo's make it easy to follow for anybody vegetable gardening. I love the companion gardening section... boxed table comparing plant, plant friend, and plant adversary. Section that tells various herbs & flowers that can be used to deter specific pests with specific plants. Weed control strategies, composte strategies, various planting strategies. Heck, it is truly a vegetable gardner's BIBLE!

    The Vegetable Gardener's Bible

    I bought this book because I wanted clear, concise information in one main reference / source. It arrived promptly in exc. condition, and has really inspired me to try a whole different method of gardening. The author explains the WORD method of gardening, which differs greatly from traditional methods, and is "doable" by people with limited mobility and physical limitations. I am looking forward to putting its suggestions and methods into practice very soon! I believe this method will also work well with floral gardens, and plan to begin in small stages to one day have the gardens of my dreams! :)

    Awesome Book

    This is a great book for a beginner who wants to grow organic vegetables. It's pages are very organized with a great section in the back of the book that has all the basic vegetables in alphabetical order describing the plants requirements and other information pertaining to growing and harvesting. The author really did a great job putting all the basic information together in a way that's easy for a beginner to get started with simple down to earth ideas. I highly reecommend this book.
