    My almost 4 year old grandson and I watch Reading Rainbow. He tells me which books he likes that they previewed on this older show. This book helps him to understand we have have bad days where everything seems to go wrong.

    One of our family favorites!

    This book has been around forever--after all, I had it and loved it when I was a kid! Now, my kids really enjoy this one as well. In it, Alexander explains why he had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Not only does he have to sit in the middle of two other kids in the carpool, but his mom forgot dessert in his lunch bag, his breakfast cereal box had no toy inside, and he has a cavity at the dentist office--among many other things that go wrong, too. Kids love the book because they can relate to what it's like to go through a day where everything seems to go wrong. Alexander learns that his solution for the problems (a move to Australia) probably won't help either, because everyone has a bad day every once in a while, no matter where they live. The illustrations are cute ...

    Great children’s book

    This has for a long time been a favorite of mine. The humor just tickles my funny bone, and every child (and adult) can relate to Alexander’s issues. Haven’t we all had those days when we just wanted to get away from it all—and move to Australia?
