It comes with no instructions, just a simple diagram that represent one of the channels plus power. Following other reviews, you need to feed power (6.3 V) to the filaments of all tubes, except tube 1. Also, very important, the output transformer inputs are reversed, so you need to swap P1 and P2. I made a mod and added a pair of VU meters and a power light.

The packing is double boxed with professional plastic film wrapping on the outer box and the component itself. You can hardly break the package even intentionally! The item is brand new and again since it is film wrapped, prepare to spend 5 minutes unwrapping the whole thing. The sound is good immediately out of the box. I will let it run a while first. Value exceeds expectation YES!
