"Stop Walking on Eggshells makes good on its promise to restore the lives of people in close relationships with someone diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (BPD). It is a rich guide to understanding and coping with the reactions aroused in others by troubling BPD behaviors that negatively impact relationships. Readers will find this book very useful and beneficial." --Nina W. Brown, EdD, professor and Eminent Scholar at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, author of Children of the Self-Absorbed, "This book is urgently needed now that a National Institutes of Health study shows that 6 percent of the general population has borderline personality disorder (BPD). I constantly get requests from families needing resources on BPD, and I recommend Stop Walking On Eggshells almost every time. This second edition is really easy to read and packed with even more useful tips for family members in distress." --Bill Eddy, LCSW, attorney, mediator, clinical social worker, and author of High Conflict People in Legal Disputes and Splitting, "Amazingly, Stop Walking On Eggshells not only teaches readers how to recognize the signs of borderline personality disorder, it also shows how they can make life and relationship decisions based on what they want and need instead of decisions controlled by the illness." --Julie A. Fast, author of Loving Someone with Bipolar Disorder

A must read for dealing with Borderline Personality Disorder

Finally, I now have some insight into what is happening to a family member who's been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. I've only read half the book so far, but now have a better understanding of what a loved one is going through. I look forward to reading on to further understand how to live with the very difficult behavior and help my loved one to better understand his symptoms.

  • Great book for partners of persons with BPD.

Validation, sweet validation. They call this Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) because if you called it Crazy B!tch Syndrome (CBS) the people at the TV station would sue. If you've been abused by a person who has this disorder (diagnosed or undiagnosed,,, though a borderline will never accept the diagnosis, (and that in and of itself is a symptom)) this book will help you understand what's really going on and give you skills to protect yourself and you're own sanity. Or,,, it might help you make a decision to get away from your personal gaping black hole of negativity and get on with your life. I did that a few years ago, and this book has helped me to understand what happened and how I might have made a bad situation less bad, and the book reaffirmed my decision to leave that ...

  • Stop Walking on Eggshells

(I've read the book in the past and decided I'd like to have it in my library. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED the book!!!! I used Shopping Spree LLC and have left many messages with NO calls returned. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.) Since my soon to be ex-husband has borderline personality disorder I found this book very helpful, especially the part about the stages of greif. I do love my husband but for over 26yrs. I've been emotionally and verbally abused. I truely wanted to be the 'success story' of a marriage that finally healed, but my husband doesn't see his need to change. The examples in the book helped me to realize that I am not crazy and I am not the only one who has had to deal with BPD.

  • Thank you so much! My wife suffers... and our children and I can't express how good it is to know we are not alone walking on eggshells!

  • If you deal with a BPD or Narcissist this is a must read.

This confirms everything I was assessing about the family member. Eye opening but sad at the same time. It’s in Gods hands; Only He can change them.
