When you are responsible for maintaining the tempos of a ten-piece group, you need help. I have all the help I need in this small box. And when I learn how to program presets, I'm going to be really dangerous. Even with manual operation it is very easy and quick to set tempos, beats, and increments for any given song--in a live application. I was able to hear the click track through headphones over the stage volumes. Very useful piece of equipment.

I have owned the RW104 and RW105 and this is the best version yet. The line out jack is great for the sound board, plenty of head room for volume, the up-down program buttons are easier to use and the tap tempo at the top makes finding the meter very easy. The remote jack with the use of a TRS splitter allows 2 pedals...one to start/stop and the other to advance the program. I recommend using 90° adapters for the remote and line-out cables to keep the cables more out of the way and the optional mount bracket is a big improvement over the original screw mount which had a tenancy to break with much use.

Finally broke down and bought the RW 200 after wanting one for a while. It is a great practice tool and has opened my eyes about how unsteady my tempos are in certain places of songs I play all the time! It may not be as gratifying as spending money on a new cymbal or pedal, etc., but it is worth it's weight in gold as far as becoming a better player and that is the biggest payoff of all..

This is the best metronome for live and practice purposes! There is a large full-proof start/stop button. It works.
