The tracks slip so the unit cannot control where it is going. It is like an original Roomba, in that it seems to be just randomly bouncing around the pool floor rather than mapping it out to get full coverage. Also, it only comes with standard filter. I bought a fine filter to use with it, but it clogs up pretty quick, diminishing the vacuum power for the rest of the cycle. You need to take it out and clean it about every 1/2 hour depending on how much stuff it is sucking in. It is easy to clean

Absolutely awesome!
Ok I have had this vacuum for a bit now so I can leave a review. I live in NH and have an oak tree above the pool. This vac sucks up every acorn in sight! Also my pool is 20X40 and it sucks up every inch! Absolutely worth the money!!!! Wish it had a pause button on the unit so I can empty it without shutting it off but otherwise perfect! Every other vac I have bought that was part of the filter system would never work this time of the year! Ability to cover all areas lacks. Can't get traction in vinyl lined pool.
It needs the ability to exhaust the water in the opposite direction from which it is trying to travel... otherwise it literally spends more time spinning it's wheels than getting anywhere. I use this in a vinyl lined pool, and I am concerned that when it gets stuck on something, like the center drain, it will sit and spin the tracks grinding away at the vinyl until it puts a hole in the pool. With it's lack of ability to have any traction, I don't know how they expect to steer the thing in any controlled way to ensure coverage... and from my observations, this unit does not have a way to compensate. It is much like the early Roombas in that it is just randomly bouncing around hoping to eventually cover the surface. It does not achieve that goal. For what these cost, we should be getting ... Best Pool Cleaner
This is the best pool cleaner ever. I have had a kreepy krauly, Hayward, Aquabot and this cleaner is hand's down the BEST. Threw it in the pool the day I got it and 3 hours later the pool was spotless. Last night a storm blew through and in 20 minutes trashed the pool. I skimmed off the top debris and threw in the Dolphin. This morning it was spotless.

Love this Dolphin
We love our Dolphin. We did change out our filter basket after several uses only because we needed a basket to catch more leaves than grit at the time. But the Dolphin works wonderfully and it withstands the salt water very well. It's best to remove it after each cleaning but we tend to leave it in the pool, so the color does fade after a long time of being in the salt water; but that's on us, not the product.We love our Dolphin.
