This unit has many functions for the money! Registration was a little difficult but the scanner is very user friendly. I needed to 'relearn' the Crankshaft Position Sensor after installing a new motor - the relearn went fast without a hitch. I also used it to discover 'Code Errors' fix them, and then erase them. Works great! It comes with a nice hard-shell case, has graphic displays (you do not have to use it with a laptop), and the cord is plenty long. It has already saved me more than I paid.

Not for coding BMW
If you are looking at actually recoding additional features or functions for your BMW this is not the proper tool to use despite what VIDENT will tell you or show you in their propaganda material. After three different Vident and iAuto units I gave up and went back to my trusty Carly, Inpa and DIS applications. These won't go to a complete waste, they make excellent paper weights.
