Good, basic GMRS/FRS Walkie Talkie.
Good, basic GMRS/FRS Walkie Talkie. It doesn't have the privacy tone feature, but otherwise they work well enough. The little antenna of course limits their range, and limits weather band reception - holding the radio by the antenna can help with weather band reception. Don't forget your GMRS license if you're using channels above 14.

I bought these radios because of the uniden brand, and I was not disappointed. Walked around block with clear signal going through houses which is pretty impressive, I am not sure about 16 miles tho.
