Another excellent Lee product
I have been using Lee products for almost 50 years. I have always found them to be a "good bang for the buck". This die was needed to give me a good factory-type crimp using my Lee Loadmaster. My old crimp die just didn't do that very well. No surprise. Worked as designed.

USING A TAPER CRIMP DIE
I taper crimp 45 ACP cartridges to prevent my Colt officers model from occasionally not going into battery. This eliminated the issue. I also taper crimp 45 ACP cartridges to chamber in my 45 ACP Ruger Blackhawk cylinder. Otherwise, I had chambering problems. I tried both just using the bullet seating die without taper crimping & then tapering crimping in my 9MM Hi Power. I was pleasantly surprised taking the extra step & taper crimping my 9MM cartridges actually improved on the accuracy of my semi auto. 3 good reasons to include taper crimping rimless cartridges.I taper crimp 45 ACP cartridges to prevent my Colt officers model from occasionally not going into battery. This one works purty good
After using this crimper (9mm) taper crimp, I checked all first 100 rounds with my calipers. Every round measured exactly to factory spec and when tested they all fed flawlessly, I even chambered a handful multiple times as if I were Un-chambering around the family gatherings when kids are present then re-chambering when I leave, none of them seated any deeper, no complaints. Nice crimp die, holds tight. After using this crimper (9mm) taper crimp, I checked all first 100 rounds with my calipers. A good, functioning set of dies. They will work just like the more expensive brands. I would recommend that you also purchase a taper crimp die. This will help you produce better functioning ammunition.

I went without a taper crimp die for decades, but when I bought a match barrel for one of my 9MMs, I couldn't get the round to seat all the way into the chamber. The taper crimp die fixed my problem. I bought another for my 45 auto.
