Nice Lightweight Vacuum
Easy to use, empty, lift, and clean. The only problem is how the belt connects to the brush roller. The part of the roller that connects with the belt is smooth, and the belt itself is smooth. This became problematic after I vacuumed Borax off of our rugs; the belt wouldn't grip the roller very well (if at all) because some Borax made its way between the belt and the roller. Also, it's a bit of a struggle to vacuum thicker/heavier rugs; there's a plastic piece on the bottom that catches on the rug when I vacuum "against the grain". Those are the only problems I've encountered with this vacuum so far. I wouldn't recommend this vacuum to an elderly person, or someone with arthritis unless they have thin carpets and/or bare floors.Easy to use, empty, lift, and clean. One Time Only - Update!
Excited by the delivery of my new vacuum, I put it to immediate use. I vacuumed a small space of about 6' by 6' and fascinated by the clear plastic housing and collection cup, I turned it off and leaned over to inspect the tiny amount of dust. Little did I know that I used up the only time the switch would work. I checked online and read the "helps". After cleaning the filter and waiting 24 hours for it to dry and after a more than sufficient "cool down" time (motor overheat after less than a minute of use? What!), I discovered the switch still didn't work. I bought it on sale and have no doubt would have had to pay to return it so what to do? Well, I do like duct tape. The switch on my new barely used vacuum is duct taped "on". I am not happy but I guess I got what I paid for, a ... Excited by the delivery of my new vacuum, I put it to immediate use. I'd recommend it
I like it. Pros: very light and small, can store just about anywhere. Small enough to get into tight areas normal sized vacuums can't access. Because it is so light and small, I now vacuum more often, a few minutes in the areas 3 Maine Coon cats hang out in, and keep up with the hair. I actually don't dread vacuuming anymore, it takes less time. Cons: when it arrived the hose had suction, but the main vacuum part that holds the roller brush had no suction. Opened it up and the belt had slipped out of place during shipment. Put the belt back where it belonged and it worked wonderfully. Another con: the crevice attachment for hose was too narrow to pick up the smallest round kibble around the cat dishes. I just cut off the last 1/2" which was too narrow with my dremmel and then it ... I like it. Pros: very light and small, can store just about anywhere. Easy and efficient
Since I only have area rugs, there is no need for a huge, heavy-duty vacuum. This fit the bill perfectly. It is easy to handle, does a good job of getting up the debris (although I am 1 person and not that messy - lol), and stores easily. I have no problem emptying the dirt cup or putting it back on. Perhaps a bit more suction power needed, but I have no problem with it as it is.
