Metal, not plastic. Quality clips.
This is the 3rd one of these I have bought. The other 2 were from different companies. This one is metal, not cheap plastic like the others. It also has better quality clips. My FJ didn't have this molding on it when I bought it so I don't know what the factory piece is made of. I would have to imagine that it wasn't plastic. Either way this is a much better quality and fits like it should.
