Finally a cable that works with Windows 10 and DOS Box to program TK-840 and TK-860, using DOS programs on a 64 bit pc. I have gone thru 6 freakin different people, over a $100. Took a chance and BINGO it works. been 2 weeks of frustrating cables ends wrong, serial cables not working... WHY?? cause the chip inside needs power!! OK now finally moving forward with my project!! Gotta Be A Better Way
It works OK. A bit pricey for what it is. Most Hams like myself can build one from scratch, but then again most Hams today are under qualfied to do anything except plug in their radios. Even then. LOL.

6 pin programming cable
This cable worked good with my Kenwood radio software, because I purchased an older radio this cable matched my radio for programming, most of the new radios are an 8 pin and these 6 pin are not to available.

It is not working likely because of drivers compatibility. Using a better USB-->Serial chip would be advisable.
