    OEM quality, works great now

    Common replacement part for Ford trucks 1999-2003. If the shifter light flickers or stays on intermittently it probably isn't your transmission, its the poor routing of the OD/shifter wire. On my truck it affected normal shifting and delayed my OD lockup lasting as long as 12 seconds before the converter would lock up. After replacing the converter (slipping in OD) and shift solenoids at 96k the light continued to intermittently coming on with vague unproven DTC's. The truck blew a 10a fuse last month in 100 degree heat and left my family and I stranded. I lost electronic throttle and my instrument cluster died. Youtube to the rescue, shift lever wire grounding to the column. I swapped in a borrowed 10a fuse that didn't affect much and didn't blow when I put it in and started the ...
