The story of a long distance love connection that is made when Penn, a Chicago journalist, discovers a love letter that Costner, a widowed sailboat repairer, let drift into the ocean.     My nephew Kendrick proposed to his financee Kaitie last summer with a message in a bottle she found on the beach on a family outing. Neither ever heard of nor saw the movie.
