A detailed reference work for the serious student of military history.
This book goes way beyond what I was expecting. Far more than just a series of depictions of US Army shoulder patches, it is a detailed study of the myriad variations that almost every shoulder patch went through in its evolution. Definitely aimed at the historian and serious collector, it focuses on materials, styles of embroidery and other technical aspects of the making of the patches. A good reference source for the serious, rather than the casual, military memorabilia collector.
