What an improvement!
My original Goldwing windshield coating was beginning to shed/peel around the (useless) vent. Ordered a $100 cheapy windshield. The distortion was so bad I would almost feel seasick from the distorted view through the new shield. Returned it. Ordered this one for a hundred dollars more with NO useless vent this time. This windshield was an improvement in a number of ways. Yes there is some distortion but it's just above the dash and out of your primary vision area. The curves in the windshield, for way better aerodynamics, are responsible but aren't a bother at all! I've noticed my helmet visor no longer blows down while following trucks. Nice! My 2003 Honda Goldwing tracks noticeably better. The wind shadow extends 3 inches above my helmet now, not on top of my helmet. I was worried ... Quiet ride
This windshield has some optical distortion, but it is toward the bottom, and not too bothersome. This windshield is a little wider toward the top and very clear. I have had it on the bike for about a week and am very impressed. Wind noise and buffeting are noticeably reduced. Haven't had to clean it yet, so can't speak to it's scratch resistance, but if that becomes a problem, I will update this review. Love it!
