Glucose Oral Gel Purse Size
Easy to carry, easy to administer and works really fast. When my husband runs low on glucose, he starts to shake along with other symptoms. If I get to him fast enough with this product, it stops and will help keep him stabilized until he can eat. I twist off the tip and squirt the whole tube into his cheek. It only takes a few minutes until he is back to normal. It is a real life saver and I will never be without it. It is light weight and can be carried in my purse without the fear of it breaking open.Easy to carry, easy to administer and works really fast. Not a solution for Type I Diabetes sugar crash: glucose level continued to drop with no medications previously taken
I had read a few other reviews about this and got very hopeful. One individual stated that his glucose level dropped into the 40s and was able to bring it back up to a normal/safe range after using a tube of this gel. We did not have the same experience. In fact, we still had to resort to using candy and sugary items in order to bring glucose levels back up from 42. This was not an insulin nor Lantus crash; it was just one of those random ones you encounter here and there. At the time that we tested my husband, his glucose levels were in the high 50s, so he ate a fun-size Twix bar and I re-directed him to this gel pack. (Immediately before he ate the small Twix, he was in the high 50s). He took this gel pack and about 15 minutes later we checked his glucose level again; to my ... I had read a few other reviews about this and got very hopeful. I will be trying a higher content, but as it sits with this particular package, it was completely ineffective and had I relied only on this item to recover him from an insulin crash in any way, we would have been in some serious trouble.

Blood sugar down to 59
My blood sugar had gone down to 59 and I had sweating, rapid heart rate, minor shaking and starting to get confused. I grab a tube of Glucose 15, couldn't open it (not the products fault, just my general condition) grab a scissor and cut the tip off; put the end of the tip in my mouth and squeezed . Soon I was up to 109 and the symptoms were declining. Much quicker than tablets. Lucky to have had it around.
