Exact fit replacement....
If I didn't know any better. (And I actually, do not....) Someone could have told me that this fuel pump and the installation stuff that came with it. Was the exact same kit, from the exact same supplier, that the STEALERSHIP would have sold me for $253.00. Everything fit the factory hardware, perfectly. The only thing that was of the slightest difference. Was the the little rubber pan piece, the bottom of the fuel pump and fuel strainer sit on. So, I just reused the original. The electrical clip was even the exact same design as the original and plugged right in. No cutting one off and splicing in a provided pigtail. (Although, it did come with one.) I have only had this pump on my 02 Softail Springer, for a couple of days so, I cannot tell you anything about it"s longevity or operation ... If I didn't know any better. Works great but needs some alteration.
Product was packaged well and shipped fast. Works great but the metal ring that holds the fuel filter screen on didn't work for me, I had to reuse my old piece to secure it. Also the plastic hose would not fit so again I used my old hose. Another issue was my bike has a 3 wire plug and this one includes a 2 wire so again I used my parts. I did manage to fix my bike with it so for the price it's not bad. 2001 FatboyProduct was packaged well and shipped fast.
