    The cylinder worked fine except it was not an exact replacement. One fitting was different from the original which required having a new hose made with a fitting to match that on this cylinder. No issues other than that.

    Identical replacement except the rear hydraulic fitting was a JIC "flare" type on the new one whereas the fitting on the old cylinder was a flat-face type. No worries though I had a new hose made locally to fit, and the new cylinder works to perfection. Excellent double packaging and quick shipping. An A++ buying experience!

    The rear hydraulic connection is different from the 2009 MTD log splitter it replaced, so there was the additional cost of a hydraulic hose with the proper fitting - other than that it was a perfect fit and works as well as the brand-new original.

      Excellent fit

      Cylinder works fine. only issue was the rear cylinder fitting didn't match the original. ' A new hose took care of that and I couldn't be more pleased with the operation of the cylinder.
