    Dreaming of Jeannie in Black & White,

    After having purchased the entire series of I Dream of Jeannie, and viewing season one in color (originally shot in black and white), I was very pleased to see the difference with this set. I think the colorization of season one from the complete set, is horrendous! The colors are not subtly blended with the black-and-white film, but they look as if they've been colored in by majic markers! The colors are so Gerrish, that you lose all the subtlety of texture and tones of the original black-and-white film. They almost up here as cartoons rather than live action films. After viewing the set, I am so pleased with all the tonalities from the darkest blacks to the lightest grays. You can finally see textures in greater depth and dimension.
