    A great tool for aircraft plastic modelers

    I bought this protractor because I wanted to achieve perfect looking plastic airplane models. Too many times the dihedral and the tailplane angles would not look good and it was because I had no proper way to measure or even a point of reference. Then I saw a video of a modeler using a protractor to help with this. This protractor is made in the US, which is a good thing, but above all it is of superb quality. The smoothness at which the ruler can be moved is peerless. Much, much better than any plastic counterpart or for that matter those cheap metal ones. Do not be concerned if the ruler part is not perfectly straight, I think Starrett did this on purpose to allow a certain amount of flexibility to prevent damage and also to adapt to less than perfectly flat surfaces.
