Excellent Machine
This machine is awesome, very easy to setup, blade Is easy to reset to different depths. Very quiet when in operation. The only negative is the cutting mat is not very sticky, but you can easily work around that problem. There is also an offline software package you can add to your pc that works great and is very easy to use which can be downloaded from brother for free (only for pc right now) which allows you to create your own die cuts, stencils etc.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great machine.
The pros are it is a excellent cutter and scanner and is fairly simple to run. Fantastic for cutting fabric pieces. We did a sunbonnet sue quilt and each sue has a different hat and dress. This meant scanning to be able to place shapes to cut on the proper fabric. The cons are the instructions to operate. I hate instructions that have you going back and forth from this page to that page. Having owned a cameo I didn't have to much to relearn other than the scanning part, but to do that was a challenge going from page ? back to page? and then from that page to another page?. the manual needs more detail on how to cut multiple items across the page and could use some recommended settings for cutting depth on different materials also the speed ect. instead of you having to experiment on your own. Good but complicated.
The learning curve is a little difficult at first you need to persevere and it comes slowly. It's worth the time though. Watch u tube the manual is joke the canvas videos are ok on u tube. Does a lot and my granddaughters love it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I had wanted something that works with fabric and it does all that and more. I’ve cut quilt squares and vinyl iron-ons for shirts and it’s just amazing!
