This is a great processor, People have a tendency to say AMD is for budget gaming but you can have a nice rig using AMD parts. Intel and AMD are great, I use this processor in a new build using an A88X-Pro ASUS mobo and it preforms outstandingly. It without a graphics card can play BATTLEFIELD 4 at 45 FPS with out overclocking or modding in any way. This is helped by adding faster ram, I ran 8GB or 1866 AMD performance ram. Great affordable APU for a small media centre.
Considering how affordable this APU is compared to the competition, I was able to build a complete media centre (connected to my TV) for the cost of just the competition's CPU. I'm very happy with the performance of this apu with it's on board graphics. It's snappy enough for average computing. With an aftermarket cooler, it doesn't get hot so the fan stays quiet. The only other fan I have in the system is in the psu, and it is sufficient to ventilate the case, so the 2 fans are barely audible. With the TV playing, it can't be heard.
