    You definitely won't be sorry you read this.

    An individual's experiences during the war as opposed to a history lesson about the war. Interesting reading. This book gives the reader what it was like for the Marines at the ground level during the battles of Guadalcanal and Cape Gloucester. Includes stories you won't get in a history book.

    I have read many WWII books. But this one provided a different point of view as it’s focus is on people and not war strategy. No boring stuff here at all.
