This battery operated handheld vacuum does the job!
This Eneim quick vac pro is a great tool to use for cleaning the bottom of my tank. It is easy to use and the disassembly and clean up is quick as well. It beats using those manual vacuum tubes which are pretty much garbage and doesn't work that well! The only issue is that the motor is a bit slow and doesn't create a fast suction to speed up the gravel cleaning of my tank. It's quick if you have only a few areas to clean in your tank. But If you are going to clean large sections of your tank, then be prepared to spend at least 30 minutes doing so.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best Buy For The Buck!
I know it cost more by quite a bit than those cleaners with the bag hanging off the side of the unit, but if you ever tried one of these Quick Vacs, you would NEVER go back to the afore mentioned units! The EHEIM Quick Vac Pro is easy to clean, cleans the aquarium quickly, and lasts a very long time. My wife and I raise Angel Fish, and have a total of 9 tanks (3-20 gallon, 1-25 gallon, 4-29 gallon, and 1-60 gallon) and we've used the Quick Vac Pro for over 2 years on ALL these tanks multiple times each week. I just had to finally replace the first unit I bought because of motor failure. By my figuring, that's more than 2,000 tank cleanings total, with a 2 to 3 times a week cleaning cycle. Finally! A decent quick vac.
I'd read mixed reviews and viewed good and bad videos but I'm really one to make up my own mind. I'm getting older and tank cleaning is dreaded but necessary of course. This in no way replaces the major cleaning but it's perfect for keeping it clean between major clean outs! It works well, seems to be made well. It allows me to keep the water cleaner and therefore safer for my fish without hard work. I have happy fish 🙂 Well, Parrots always smile! It has a stronger suction than I even expected. I even vacuumed my granddaughters blow up baby pool with it!

Good vac
This works well. Great for picking up excess poo in between siphon vac times. The vac isn't as powerful as a siphon vac but does more than I expected and it sends the water back so that's nice. A lot out of a little
The Quick Vacuum from Eheim is a lot more useful then it looks. When they first came out I bought one figuring I was not going to get a real useful tool, boy, was I wrong. This thing works great for spot cleaning, hard to get to areas and places like that But what I didn't realize is that I could deep vacuum the whole tank, and I have a 90 gallon tank with cichlids (messy fish). It did take a little more time but I actually think I did a better job then with my syphon cleaner. This little guy impressed me with the engineering and workmanship that I bought another one last night. Now both my daughter and I can clean at the same time. Better then expected

Picks up fish pooh and waste nicely
I bought this to help vacuum my tank because there was too much crud to pick up during water changes. So far the unit has worked as described to remove a lot of the gunk that is left behind. I have play sand in my tank so I have to keep it just above the substrate. It will jam if too much sand gets sucked in. It is easy to rinse out the sand if that happens.
