Sennheiser HMD 300 X3K1 is a less expensive alternative to HMD 26/27
the only thing I can hear negatively about this Sennheiser product is the previously reported "buzz" when phantom power is present within the circuit. Easy fix..simply move the 3 pin XLR to an XLR jack that is not incorporating phantom power 48 volts.
