A Perry Mason fan must have!!
So glad this new collection came out! A great deal for those wanting the complete set of The Perry mason movies with Raymond Burr. I have recently watched original TV series so is nice to be able to see the later movies. I have enjoyed watching them. Very entertaining. However, I will say that these movies are a bit slow and not as engaging as the original series. I think it is the era of "made for TV movies" of that time period. I found the first nine movies to be more entertaining than the later ones. It may also be that the writing was not up to par with original series. Perry Mason Updated Version
I did like the "2nd Complete Series" although it's didn't hold my interest as the black/white 50's oldie versions. Now, with the 2nd Complete Series, the new investigator is the son of the original tall/handsome/sharp private investigator for Perry Mason Series. He doesn't show his father sharp approached above all, his professionalism. His son, is young and need far greater attention to handling his clients/details. Etc... Perry Mason,during his earlier movies, I find, the older versions, for Perry Mason, offered far greater movie selections, with adventures from the many selected movies. Not as good as the original Perry Mason television series; he's more of a grump than he used to be, but then so am I. The plots are well done, the characters well developed, and the filming has been well done--even on our elderly tv/vhs player the picture is sharp and crisp. This 15 DVD Set is one of the best values out there for mystery/courtroom drama fans. The video quality is not great but it is adequate, and the mystery writing and production values are totally commendable. It’s a bit dated, but for the connoisseur that’s also it’s appeal. Our noon hour
When I was 12 to 14 years old i always had lunch with my grandmother as she only lived one block from my school. We always watched Perry Mason and would bet on who could be the bad guy.
