Easy!
The ice maker kit comes with a variety of pieces to retrofit to most freezers. My freezer had no existing ice maker. I ran a water line (not included) and installed the new ice maker in about an hour. Minimal tools are needed for the installation. Of note, since I don't make a habit of reading instructions, it takes the ice maker a few hours to acclimate. I finished the project at about 8 p.m. and the first ice dumped into the container at around 6 a.m. the next morning.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Awesome addition.
We love this. It took me 25 minutes to install. The instruction manual is intimidating, it is 150 pages. But it turns out to be in English, French, and Spanish, so only 48 pages in English. Then because there are instructions for 10 different refrigerator brands and models, there are 4 pages for whichever refrigerator you have, plus a couple of pages that are common to all models. The water supply was more intensive, and took a couple of trips to the local supply store. It dropped cubes within about 5 hours, and we haven't used an ice cube tray since. IM-6D is a must. So far so good and Ice is a great size
So far so good , easy to install after doing the research including reading the manual included. Here is a tip if you have a Instruction X on the back of your fridge, it’s not in the IM-6D owners manual. You will have to use the manual from the IM-4D owners manual. Worth the purchase
Despite giving this product four stars it wasn’t better than expected because I was expecting what was advertised. The kit provided me with most of the items, in new condition, that I needed to replace the aged ice maker system that was in my fridge. The only thing this kit didn’t provide was the water relay valve that my fridge needed. This kit is for ice making only, whereas my fridge has a built in water dispenser for filling cups/glasses and needed a different valve that what was provided.
