  • Fantastic unlocked phone

I have a Note 8. I love it, but it's extremely expensive and, even with all the fancy software, the battery life stinks. The Moto G5 Plus covers almost everything. For the price, you get just about every premium feature you need except for the camera. It's okay, but it certainly doesn't stand out. Great battery life, easy no bloat software, and you can use it on any carrier. Why pay premium prices when this covers practically everything?

  • A phone that just works

The phone's great if you're looking for minimally tweaked software, solid battery life, and a decent camera. While the camera isn't "Pixel" quality, it gets the job done. Shots are clear, but fine details and colors can get a little smeared when zooming in. Otherwise, great for the occasional Instagram post or memory shot. Definitely also get a case and screen protector (which should seem like a no-brainer). The screen, while Gorilla Glass 3, still picks up a fair share of scratches when put in a bag, pocket, or fanny pack. Umm, yeah. It's a solid mid-range phone that just works; no need to worry about it getting you through a day and loading all your apps real quick. Though there is an issue with the camcorder mic; it's dreadfully noisy/picks up a lot of background noise. Headphone output is pretty OK, but don't expect to be tingled if you're an audiophile.

  • Good replacement for my aging Droid Turbo

This is a good all-around phone, especially for the price. All computer functions work well, battery life seems good (although I have only had the phone for a month), and a massive amount of internal storage, with very little bloatware like some other brands have. As a telephone, it has the same disadvantages as other cell phones with respect to voice quality, but how much of that is the phone's fault and how much the provider's is open to debate. My one knock on this phone is that the K9 email program I have used for years does not function well on this unit. Google has become more and more intrusive (as Apple has on their iPhones), and has made it more difficult to use applications other than those native to the phone.

  • Execellent Phone

This is a great phone. The second phone I purchased this year. Great features. Camera is fantastic. Better than the $400 Olympus camera I purchased a few years ago. Especially in low light conditions. Love the fact that you can twist your wrist twice, and phone goes immediately into camera mode. My old phone, by the time I unlocked the phone, and brought up the camera app. get ready to shoot.... the moment had pasted. Fantastic value when compared with phones costing twice as much. Purchased with the 64GB data card. How have plenty of room for photos and video. This phone also did not come with advertisements, as many phones are now coming out with now.

  • Great phone at a great price

The only thing this phone lacks is NFS and micro C connection. Otherwise everything about the Moto G5 Plus is a top end experience. The 64/4 is fast and responsive with 128gb Sd card formatted as internal gives this phone vast storage and system memory. Takes great pictures and 4K video runs smooth casting to my smart TV. In use from 6am to 11 pm and there's still battery life left. The turbo charger has come in handy on mornings I forgot to charge the phone. I have recommended this phone to anyone looking to upgrade.

  • Not sure what I'm missing

I'm a big Motorola fan, just have been over the years. I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on a phone. It's not like it used to be where so many new features came out every year where a new phone was exciting. It's basically a necessary appliance for most of today, and this does the job really, really well. The display isn't as good as the high end phones (but saving $500 makes it very good) and I think the radio isn't quite as good/sensitive as I'm with AT&T and it's not great in my house in spots, and in one spot, I struggle to make calls out, where on my Nexus 6, that problem didn't happen as often. Once connected though, haven't experienced a drop. Strong phone, fast enough to do the things I do (Twitter, OK Google, Read, etc; not much gaming) and saved a bunch of money. Great buy; highly recommend.

  • Moto G5 Plus Review (Not G5s Plus)

Great phone, great value, good replacement for my Galaxy S4. I use Waze back and forth to work every day, 50 miles, and the battery holds up great using GPS. By the end of the day I still have around 60% battery. I'm not a power user, FB and YouTube now and then throughout the day. The only thing I actually miss is a multi-colored LED that I was able to assign to different text alerts. This phone has no notification LED on the front and I don't like having my personal messages come up on the screen so I don't use that setting. If I'm not at my phone to hear/feel the vibrate alert I have to go into the phone to see if anyone has texted me. I'm not one that is glued to my tech so the LED used to eliminate the need to physically check. I didn't think to check for that before I bought the phone. The colors are not as vibrant as my S4 but I'm not using it for professional photography. The screen colors and brightness are more than adequate. Other than that it is a great phone for the price. If you get one, get the Moto G5s Plus, prices are very close now so bump it up a bit. PEM, Network Systems Engineer by profession

  • Great phone

Good price, fast, plenty of ram at 4GB, Octa-Core, vanilla Android and pretty decent updates. THis has T-Mobile VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling which is awesome to have on a phone not sold by T-Mobile. My only complaint would be the size of the phone for a 5.2" screen the bezels are huge! They could have made this phone much smaller and kept the same screen size or fit a bigger screen in this huge body w/out making the body bigger.

  • Powerfull with great features

My 1st Motorola Moto Phone. for me This phone is really great, I love the power and the size, And it has a lot of great features that I need to learn how to use. I gave it 4 stars for the following reasons. 1 cannot remove the battery. 2 I do not like the start up animation, hello moto stuff. 3 I cannot group my contacts like I could with my old android phone.

  • Honest opinion on Moto G5 plus

Moto G5 plus - honest opinion Our family loves Motorola cellphones... especially the MotoG models. The Moto G3 is by far our favorite, but the Moto G5 plus is pretty nice too. Pros; Durable Corning Gorilla glass!!!... reason enough for Motorola loyality. High user friendliness factor. Excellent camera. Fingerprint sensor works great. Quality & value that exceeds the price. Memory expandable with up to a 128gb micro sd card (under $20 for a great quality Sandisk Ultra). Flashlight that activates quickly with two "chops" is handy. Cons; glued together :(.... but most newer phones are as well. We have three Moto G5 plus handsets - battery life excellent on one & so-so for the other two (but not terrible). Photo gallery is NOT user friendly (but alternatives can be downloaded). Camera lens glass protrudes from the back & VERY easily smudges (cleaning usually necessary before taking photos/vids) & is exposed to damage - protective case mandatory! Power button is a weak part - notably the spring behind it. Don't let the cons dissuade you from getting a Moto G5 plus... it's a really nice phone (& all phones have cons). The 64gb model also has double the ram of the 32gb model (4gb vs 2gb). Beware the Amazon variant!!! Much of the bloatware (a handful of pre-loaded Amazon related apps) can be disabled, but not the ad banner that constantly sucks up memory, processor speed & battery reserve. That ad banner is on a separate home screen however & you never need to look at it, so this isn't a deal breaker if you get a good deal.
