A must have item..
I installed my new 4 ton A/C unit along with this Hard start. I honestly feel that a good Hard Start like the csru3 will help make my compressor last long. I wish I had read about these sooner, after much research this brand was the most reccommended by the ac tradesmen. Helped my 20 year old condenser
Before installing, the lights inside my home would dim considerably whenever the AC condenser would kick on. We recently purchased the house which was built in 2001 and has the original condenser outside. I replaced the capacitor only and that seemed to help with the lights dimming but did not stop it entirely. After adding the 5-2-1 hard start kit, the light dimming problem is entirely gone on most lights and very sensitive ones hardly dim at all.
