The entire blame goes to the USPS and I would recommend that other means of shipment be considered when delivering to our area.     Much Better Than Small Charger

    Black & Decker uses a small (just bigger than the prongs) charger with their outdoor equipment. This is much better. Great fast charge followed by trickle. I have 3 batteries for my edger, and this services them all very quickly.

    Bad batteries/or the charger ?

    After correctly & fully charging the two brand new batteries I purchased at the same time as the charger -I put one of the batteries into my Black &Decker small leaf blower. The battery barely last for 10 min of blowing before it ran out of juice and die. Plugged in the other battery charged it then used it on the blower -same results died in less then 10 mins. I will be returning both the batteries and the charger. Not sure which was bad the batteries or the charger. DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE PRODUCTS.

    Works well with the older and newer batteries.

    Bought to newer longer lasting batteries to go with the older batteries for weed wacker. The older charger did not work with the new batteries. Needed to upgrade, this works with both. However, the 1 hour estimate (even with the old charger) has never been in the ballpark, so be patient.

    Great charger. My old one just showed when fully charged and took 6 hours. This charger takes about an hour and also shows if the battery is not charging properly and should be replaced.

    Rugged and Greater Flexibility

    This charger is an upgrade to the older 18 volt charger. The power provided for tools today have increased to higher voltages. This charger not only charges the current 18 volt tools I own but allows the addition of higher voltage tool systems w/o having to buy a separate charger. So I have not only greater flexibility but I have a higher quality charger. The new charger has a heavier more substantial exterior case, making more rugged than the original charger. And that’s important for a charger that is stored and used in a garage shop.
