      Schrade 11" Survival Hatchest Axe with Lanyard & Sheath is a nice, light weight axe perfect for camping, small projects.

      Schrade SCAXE 10 Full Tang 11" Survival Hatchet Axe with Lanyard with Sheath. This is a nice, small axe and perfect for what I purchased it for, camping, cutting kindling or small projects in the yard. The handle is a bit thin and I have large hands for a woman. Sheath is a hard poly type material and covers the blade fine with a snap closure but one side of the cover near snap does not fit as well as it should and sticks out a bit allowing it to be caught on objects if you're hiking with Axe exposed. I intend to use a short lanyard of sorts to improve the handle grip since it is too thin to really do any trail trimming, etc. for long. Otherwise, axe comes ready to go and feels good in the hand in spite of thin handle.

      A best buy for the money.

      This is a fine small axe. Good brand name and solid full tang. This axe is ideal for camping and is accompanied with a solid case with belt loop for hiking also. You really cannot go wrong with this inexpensive but good quality axe. Weight is good for chopping and the only super small thing that I would improve is the handle girth. It is a little thin. However, easily remedied with a little duct or gorilla tape wrapped around the base to customize the axe to your hand size.. Irrespective of that , a fine, durable brand name axe for cheap. A good buy for sure. Sggood

      Love this

      I travel the country in my van and needed a hatchet for campfires. This is a solid steel hatchet with a very sharp edge. The ABS plastic sheath is rugged, durable and wraps the blade beautifully to protect the blade. The handle has a good feel but for my big hands it could stand to be a bit thicker in my opinion. However I still get a great grip and it doesn't twist or slip when using it. I can add bulk by using 550 Paracord. Besides it's always a good idea to have some Paracord around. I still need axe and plan on buying the mate to this amazing hatchet.

      Fits great in my bug out bag. Im sure this will sever a zombie head with ease if its anything like the movies/shows. Keep in mind the handle is short so leverage may be an issue. You dont want your axe too long either because you dont want to miss that brain matter. B+ because in real life this would only be used for emergencies which is when I would prefer a full size for the leverage to get through a log. I gave it 5 stars because its great for like I said emergencies and self defense. I have not thrown it to see balance which is another reason its not an amm+

      Good axe for the size and the price

      This hatchet is great for the backpack or fishing kit, of good quality and for the price you will not do better. The sheath is okay, it'll do to protect the blade. The axe itself is a good weight, good quality metal, comfortable ergonomic handle, takes and holds a sharp edge. Dont go into the trees without it.
