It works GREAT! Flea infestation virtually gone by the next day!
This flea treatment is the bomb! No pun intended. I had a terrible flea infestation that I've been battling for awhile now without success. I have four indoor cats, one of them fourteen years old with asthma. Therefore, I am very limited in what I can use in my home both in personal products as well as pest control, etc. I can't spray anything, and that goes double for insecticides and anything like that. Other topical flea products are available and effective but they are quite expensive. I decided to give Advecta II a try, albeit with reservations about its effectiveness. It worked! I applied one tube to each of my four cats as per package instructions. I applied it one evening a little while before I went to bed. The next day I noticed a significant decrease in each cat scratching, and I didn't have any bites either. Previously the fleas were biting the cats and me mercilessly. That was a first for me. I've battled fleas in the past but I never had one to bite me until this time. They were worse than mosquitos and twice as itchy! Poor cats (and dogs who suffer from this plague of bloodsuckers). As the day went on, I noticed all four cats were much more relaxed and hardly scratching at all, and I had no new bites either. So I tried the ultimate test: I grabbed the flea comb and went through each of the four cats' fur and was amazed that not only did I NOT find a single flea but also didn't even find any flea dirt! This stuff is AMAZING! I would never have thought it would be so effective so fast. I had to buy two size types because I have two larger and two smaller cats but the effect was the same on all four of them: fleas literally gone the next day after treatment! I have not seen a flea, flea dirt, or been bitten by a flea myself since application. I use the flea comb on the cats daily but so far so good. I am very pleased with the strength and effectiveness of this product, ease of use, no side-effects, and the significant cost savings compared to other brands. Well done, Advecta II; I highly recommend you and I will be a repeat customer so long as I continue to get these excellent results. Works as welll as Advantage
I tried this product because it has the same active ingredient as Advantage, but I was hoping for a better response. Alas, still have fleas. Advantage has stopped working for our cats and I can't get them to take the pills. Looking for an alternative topical but this one is not effective enough. jCat got better within a couple of days or so. She still scratches occassionally after a week or so but not near as often. She also shakes her head and kinda scratches at her ears a lot less. I believe she mays have ear mites but not sure. And this Advecta Plus medicine didn't mention that it treats ear mites so not sure it will help there. I PURCHASED THIS ITEM TWICE, THE FIRST TIME I NOTICED IT SIMPLY WASN'T DOING ITS JOB, FLEAS WERE STILL AN ISSUE. AFTER THE SECOND APPLICATION, ABOUT 2 MONTHS LATER, I NOTICED ONE OF MY CATS WASN'T FEELING WELL, THEN A SECOND CAT BECAME ILL, THEN A THIRD. I HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING IF THIS FLEA MEDICATION IS THE CULPRIT BUT I FIND IT STRANGE THAT SO MANY CATS WOULD BECOME ILL AFTER THE SECOND APPLICATION AND SAME TIME. It WORKS!
I've been in rescue over 36 yrs. and needed an EFFECTIVE, less expensive way to treat all the furbabies in my care and I HAVE FOUND IT! I have been using Avecta for yrs. now and am 1000% satisfied! When Frontline Plus failed miserably (I along with my sister reported it's total ineffectiveness to our vet's) left me with the most heinus flea infestation and looking for a viable solution quickly. That's when I found Avecta and will not use anything else. Funny that's it's comparable to Frontline Plus which DID NOT WORK which leads me to believe the manufacturer's of it are cutting corners. A Good Low Cost Substitute
I've been using this for 2 years on 2 cats (one indoor and one indoor/outdoor), It works just as good as the expensive stuff (Advantage II). I've found that none of them last 30 days on the outdoor cat, usually about 25 days and it's time for another treatment. I've never seen either cat get sick after applying it.
