This is my second purchase - Dispenser is very convenient, battery lasts a long time, and is easy to use. However, one of the two units I originally bought from Costco as a set, was defective. My husband's unit would start pumping liquid soap on its own, sometimes until empty - even though it was fully charged. It would also lose its suction and would have to be repeatedly activated until it started pumping again. (After several months of fighting it, I returned set to Costco for a full refund.) But I got so use to my automatic dispenser - which was not defective, that I had to buy a single unit for myself. So far, the new single unit works perfectly fine. So, if your unit starts acting up soon after purchasing, it's definitely defective and you need to return it while it's still under warranty and just replace it with another.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Quality SS soap dispenser
I had this exact model for about 5 years before it quit accepting a charge and needed to be replaced. I ordered and returned several other models that were cheap plastic made to look like stainless. Found an open box exact replacement here on eBay and it is perfect. Simplehuman makes high quality things.
